The Coffee Smith

The CoffeeSmith was established in 2006 to provide locally roasted premium coffee, famous EggSmith® breakfast, LoxSmith, and specialty sandwiches at affordable prices. We offer grab-to-go customers a fresh assortment of bagels, pastries, lunch sandwiches and green salad made from the finest organic, locally-sourced ingredients.

All of our vendors are local Bay Area businesses. The CoffeeSmith is proud to offer artisanal coffees from Due Torri and McLaughlin Coffee, as well as bagels and pastries from House of Bagels, City Baking Company, and California Bakery.

Catering

We can bring the party to you! CoffeeSmith provides catering with a selection of pastries, sandwiches, refreshments and coffee for groups as as large as 300 attendents. Have something unique in mind? Contact us directly and we can work with you to make it happen.

Order Catering

The CoffeeSmith is located at 401 Golden Gate Avenue on the corner of the California State Building. The cafe is opposite to the Phillip Burton Federal Building which houses the US Federal District Court and San Francisco Passport Agency. The CoffeeSmith is one block from the San Francisco Public Utility and California Superior Court; two blocks from San Francisco City Hall, Asian Museum of Art and UC Hastings - College of Law. A parking garage can be found conveniently across street.
